A Conversation about College Readiness in the CSU

Spring Convening 2017

Monday, March 6, 2017
California State University, San Francsico

This first CSU Student Success Network Convening offered an opportunity to take part in a problem-centered, cross-campus, cross-role conversation about college readiness efforts, needs, and challenges throughout the system. The meeting was organized and sponsored by the CSU Student Success Network – a new, collaboratively developed structure designed to help support student success in the CSU.

Meeting goals:

Specific goals of the meeting include:

  • Share and learn about current student experiences in remedial (or developmental) courses for students from other CSU campuses.
  • Share and learn how other CSU campuses are navigating policies and procedures to best meet student needs.
  • Explore the applicability of promising approaches between campuses.

“What is Your Campus Working on to Support Students’ College Readiness?

The CSU Student Success Network in the California State University kicked off its 2017 cross-campus Convenings by bringing together teams of faculty, staff, and administrators from six CSU campuses to share strategies related to college readiness.
